The second installment of the Madagascar films returns as loveable and crazy as ever. Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo, King Julien, Maurice and the penguins are all still stranded on the island of Madagascar so they hatch a crazy plan to get themselves across to Africa.
The penguins repair an old, crashed plane. Sort of. The plane just makes it to Africa. It’s only when they land there that the animals realise how different it is to their old home in New York.
While discovering their natural habitat the animals come across long lost relatives, romantic rivals and scheming hunters.
